Between 1871 and 1890, Szejkefürdő and the surrounding area was the property of Balázs Orbán and a favorite residence of his. Positioned in the center, there was a bath containing twenty four hot baths and a cold-water pool, which used the waters of the Attila spring. The 'petroleum' water of the Sarolta spring to the north was used as drinking water. The death of Balázs Orbán, however, put an end to the small spa's prosperity.
After a decade of work, the exhibition opened its doors in 2008. Visitors can visit the Szejke water jugs and the buffalo cart that carries water. The maps of geologist János Bányai, who mapped nearly 2,500 sources of mineral water in Szeklerland, are on display, as well as his mineral and rock collection, along with portraits of scientists that once decorated the walls of his study.
